Harm Reduction Navigator
This is very responsible work providing education to prevent drug overdose deaths and prevent the spread of Hepatitis C (HCV), HIV, and other communicable diseases. Additional activities include linking clients to care for community mental health services, substance use treatment, harm reduction services, primary health services, communicable disease treatment, and public health services. Job responsibilities require graduation from an accredited high school, a B.A. (B.S.) degree strongly preferred; Licensed Alcohol and/or Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) licensure or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CRPS) certification desired, and a minimum of three years of related work experience with knowledge of and experience with the at-risk community, considerable knowledge of available community mental health services, substance use treatment, harm reduction services, primary health services communicable disease treatment and public health services in the area and strong organizational, interpersonal and decision-making skills.
