9 staffed ALS-equipped ambulances 24 hours a day with 16,000 requests for service annually.

Rick Valentine is the EMS Director
for Sevier County. He holds an Associates Degree in Public Safety from Walters State Community College and has an extensive background in EMS and Fire. He has been a paramedic since 1990 and is a member of the Region II EMS Directors Association and Tennessee Ambulance Service Association (TASA). 











 
 
andrew-whaley
Andrew Whaley is the Assistant EMS Director
for Sevier County. He started his career at Sevier County Ambulance Service
as a part-time EMT in 1993 and in 1995, was promoted to full-time status. He has an extensive background in Fire, Rescue, and EMS.
Andrew graduated from the Walters State Paramedic program in 2000 and is a member of the Region II EMS Directors Association and Tennessee Ambulance Service Association (TASA).

Aeromedical Services:  Sevier County EMS is fortunate to have a UT Lifestar medical transport helicopter located at the Sevierville Airport. Any credentialed provider can rapidly activate the aircraft within our system.

First Responder Program: Sevier County EMS oversees an active First Responder program with eight local community fire departments providing initial emergency medical care.
