Sevier County Solid Waste Convenience Center On Center View Road To Close For Renovations

Sevier County, Tennessee – Monday, February 26, 2024 – The Sevier County Solid Waste Convenience Center located at 943 Center View Road in Sevierville will close to the public at 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 29th, 2024, for renovations and expansion.

The site will be closed to the public for an estimated 3 months (weather permitting) while undergoing construction to increase its capacity and accommodate trash disposal from short-term rentals. This will be the first of three convenience centers in Sevier County designated for both short-term rentals and residents.

These dual-use sites will be designed to accommodate short-term renal unit owners in accordance with Resolution 2023-06-13 which was passed by the Sevier County Board of Commissioners in June 2023. More information regarding this initiative can be found here: https://shorturl.at/aoDTW

During the closure, a temporary site will be open beginning Friday, March 1st, 2024 for construction debris, brush, and metal behind the Sevier County Health Department (719 Middle Creek Road). The entrance to this temporary site will be located on Blanton Road, with the exit on Middle Creek Road. Hours of operation for the temporary site will be Monday-Friday 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM and Saturday 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (noon).

Sevier County residents who typically utilize the Center View location for disposal of household garbage can access alternative convenience centers nearby, including:

  • Allensville (759 Allensville Road)
  • Birds Creek (3350 Birds Creek Road)
  • Pigeon Forge (447 Tiger Drive)
  • Whites School (705 Whites School Road)
