CORRECTIONS OFFICER

Sevier County is accepting applications for the position of Corrections Officer.  Job related duties include assisting with intake activities, monitoring individuals placed in custody, assisting with delivering meals and maintaining records of inmates’ emotional and medical status.  Job related duties require experience working in a correctional and/or juvenile detention facility, good organizational, interpersonal and decision making skills and sufficient strength and agility to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job and respond adequately to situations encountered on the job. This position requires the applicant to be available to work rotating shifts and the flexibility to cover other shifts in the event of absences or other unforeseen circumstances including occasional weekends and Holidays.  Interested parties must submit a Sevier County Sheriff Department job application.  Sevier County offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Juvenile Corrections Sergeant

Sevier County government is accepting applications for the position of Juvenile Corrections Sergeant.  Activities associated with the job include supervising and assisting with conducting frequent safety checks, maintaining logs of events and activities, monitoring detainees’ health and emotional state, observing them during recreational and/or educational periods and administering medications as prescribed.  Additional duties include the supervision of shift personnel, reviewing incident reports and consulting with the Center Director on a variety of operational issues. Job related duties require successful completion of required training programs, knowledge of the legal and civil rights of juveniles placed into custody, ability to effectively supervise and direct the activities of shift personnel and strong organizational, interpersonal and decision making skills.  For a complete job description and application, utilize the links below.  Applications should be mailed or hand delivered to:
